MDFF is powered by vision, passion, artists & its dance community — that's you! Trade a handful of shifts — or a few airport runs — for a real pass and a front-row seat to how the weekend comes together, alongside the people you'll be calling your dance family long after the flight home.
Two ways in — pick your track
However you help, the deal is simple: put in the hours, get your deposit back, and walk away with a pass.
$250 value — full access to Sensual Bachata, Kizomba Fusion & Brazilian Zouk programming, all weekend.
- Exchange 12 hours at a station for the Full BKZ Pass
- Only want one genre? 10 hours gets you a Single Genre Pass instead ($200 value)
- A typical shift is 4 hours — spread them out however works for you
- Choose from Set Up, Front Desk, Hospitality, or Wristbands

The four stations
No dance experience required for any of them — just show up, know your shift, and take care of people.
Set Up
Rooms, signage, and getting the sound & production gear staged before doors open.
Front Desk
You're the friendly first welcome every attendee sees — check-in, wristbands, pass upgrades, questions. 3 people per shift, with a manager on call.
Hospitality
Keeping the team fueled and taken care of across the weekend — mornings, midday, and late nights. 2 volunteers per shift, plus a hospitality manager on site. 2 full-time roles get a shared (incredible!) room.
Wristbands
Workshop-room access checks across all three genre rooms, plus night-shift comms — flagging artists when their set is winding down.
Front Desk fills fast — here's the shape of the weekend
Every shift needs 3 people, with a manager on call. These are the windows we're covering — you're not signing up for the whole block, just a flexible 4-hour shift somewhere inside it.
📌 A typical shift is 4 hours, not the full window — e.g. Friday's 11a–6p block just means you pick a 4-hour stretch inside it, not all 7 hours.
